IACEP Participated in the Launch Seminar of the International Project “Promoting Circularity and Resource Efficiency in the Life Cycle of Electronics in Kazakhstan” On 30 June 2026, specialists of the Information and Analytical Center for Environmental Protection under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in the official launch seminar of the international project “Promoting Circularity and Resource Efficiency in the Life Cycle of Electronics in Kazakhstan” (Global Electronics Management Kazakhstan, GEF ID 11561). The seminar brought together representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhasyl Damu JSC, the Bureau of National Statistics, as well as representatives of the business community, industry associations, non-governmental organizations, and environmental experts. During the seminar, participants were introduced to the project’s objectives, implementation mechanisms, and strategic priorities aimed at promoting the principles of the circular economy, improving resource efficiency, and strengthening electronic waste management in Kazakhstan. Discussions also focused on interagency cooperation, international partnerships, project financing, stakeholder engagement, and the establishment of an effective project governance framework. Participation in such international initiatives enables IACEP to strengthen cooperation with government institutions and international partners, exchange best practices, and support the implementation of modern environmental approaches contributing to sustainable development and the advancement of the circular economy in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
