IACEP Invites to Participate in July Seminars on Environmental Legislation and Strategic Environmental Assessment of the RGP at the Information and Analytical Center for Environmental Protection

      The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan invites representatives of enterprises, government agencies, and the environmental community to participate in educational seminars to be held in July 2026. The programs are aimed at improving the qualifications of specialists, improving practical skills in applying environmental legislation, and considering current changes in the field of environmental protection.

      IACOEP is conducting the following training events in July:

• July 15-17, 2026 - online seminar (ZOOM) "Environmental Control and Management System. Environmental Code and its Enforcement"
• July 22-24, 2026 - offline seminar (Astana) "Environmental Control and Management System. Environmental Code and its Enforcement"
• July 23-24, 2026 - offline seminar (Astana) "Strategic Environmental Assessment: Basics and Practice"

     The seminar program on environmental control covers key issues of practical application of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including state environmental control, environmental permits, environmental impact assessment (EIA), public hearings, industrial environmental control (IEC), automated monitoring systems (AMS), waste management, as well as issues of administrative liability for violating environmental legislation requirements. Particular attention is paid to the latest changes in legislation and their practical application.

     The seminar "Strategic Environmental Assessment: Basics and Practice" is dedicated to modern approaches to conducting SEA in the development of state programs, strategies, and territorial development documents. Participants will consider the regulatory and legal framework for conducting SEA, stages of document preparation, international and Kazakhstani experience in applying this tool, as well as the most common questions of law enforcement practice.

     Training is conducted by representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, developers of environmental legislation, leading industry and international experts. Upon completion of the training, participants are issued certificates of the departmental standard.
