The main objective of SFEI is centralized collection, accounting, storage and distribution of environmental information. SFEI includes the following databases and registers:
- Register of emissions and transfer of pollutants and other registers of ecological information;
- List of ecologically hazardous productions;
- Data of ecological monitoring;
- Materials of environmental impact assessment on state ecological expertise with customer’s consent of the planned activity;
- Regulations and standard technical documentation in the area of environmental protection and use of natural resources;
- Reports on research and development work connected with environmental protection;
- Scientific and technical literature in ecology and environmentally clean technologies;
- Other materials and documents containing ecological information.
State Fund of Environmental Information
The state fund of ecological information represents a system of collecting, systematization, updating, storage and distribution of ecological information in printing and electronic formats for effective use in solving administrative, production and scientific tasks related to environmental protection.
According to the order of the Minister of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan “About the State Fund of Ecological Information” dated November 13, 2009 No. 243, RSE “Information and Analysis Center of Environmental Protection” of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan carries out the activities of the State Fund of Ecological Information.
